TAYYİBE BENEK

Tayyibe Benek's work is based on the idea of the surface, and the expression merges with a surface that the process find its way through this channel. Pigments made from natural pigments in the artist's 'Damlar' series undergo a state change by spreading on paper as a fluid material, and an effort to cope with the incalculable and to cling to an image that appears and disappears at that moment is seen. The share of cracks is of great importance in the artist's practice, which continues in the form of construction-dismantling-reconstruction. Benek's work points to a field of experimentation that demonstrates the possibility of reproduction, production, and continuity.
