Simbart Projects Çukurcuma hosts Dilara Göl’s first solo exhibition ‘Disorder’ between 18 March and 8 May, featuring her recent works inspired from the letters written by a mentally ill patient. The artist creates a world where sensitivity, rather than the literal illness of the person, is fictionalized in the exhibition area. Göl accompanies the inner journey of an unknown person which in fact reinforces a sense of belonging. The exhibition deals with certain sensitivities and the relationships that this patient establishes with an object – a stone, where maintaining criticism over sociological norms of normal and abnormal judgments.
