Sun Doesn't Have Walls
Simbart Projects Çukurcuma hosts İrem Nalça's solo exhibition titled “Güneşin Duvarı Yok” between September 30 and November 6. Taking its name from a verse of Karagöz plays, the show transforms the exhibition space into a backstage of a puppeteer’s chaotic workshop. The physicality of the analogue method used by the artist - contrary to today's digital technologies that detach the viewer from being a participant and place them in a passive position - enables fiction as a way of thinking into an active field of experience.
